- We are often asked to “call it in”. As a practice, Burke Forest has a policy of not calling medications into pharmacies. The reason for this is two fold – 1. We do not have a digital transfer service like our human counterparts, so calling it in is inefficient because we often have hold times of over 20 minutes. 2. There is no paper trail to ensure accuracy between prescriber and pharmacy. We hope you can understand this is in an effort to better serve our customers.

Many medications can be hidden in pill pockets, soft treats, or a small amount of food. If that doesn’t work, ask us about liquid, chewable, or flavored compounded options.
